MBK in Hauts-de-France

The MBK factory in Saint-Quentin, Yamaha’s largest in Europe, specialises in the production of motorcycles for the European market.

The factory was built in the early 1960s by Motobécane, the world’s leading manufacturer of two-wheeled motor vehicles. Purchased by the Japanese company Yamaha in 1983, the site continued its initial production and gradually moved upmarket before taking on the production of motorcycles around 15 years ago.

Today, MBK Industrie has 600 employees in Aisne and an annual production of more than 80,000 units.

A focus on continuous improvement

In order to improve the site and remain competitive, MBK is committed to investing in:

  • The training of its teams
  • The equipment and robotisation of its production lines
  • Site certification (ISO 9001 and 14001)

Combining these three tools allows the site to increase skills, offer top quality products, and maintain its competitive edge.

A strategic positioning

The MBK site in Saint-Quentin produces motorcycles for the European market. Its geographic location is ideal for supplying its logistics centres in Northern (Lille, France and Hamburg, Germany) and Southern Europe (Barcelona, Spain and Milan, Italy).
