Lenze awarded the label

"Vitrine de l’industrie du future"

Nord France Invest

A promising programme

Thanks to its Excellence 2020 programme, the Lenze group has been awarded by the Future Industry Alliance with the label “Vitrine de l’industrie du future”. This programme, intended to make the Hauts-de-France plant a model of industrial operational excellence for the group’s other sites (Germany – Austria) aims to:

  • Increase responsibilities given to teams, especially by involving them in the company’s development strategy
  • Provide more flexibility and responsiveness with modular production tools and automated tasks
  • Boost energy efficiency

Eventually, the company expects to be able to better control its costs and double its production.

The label “Vitrine de l’industrie du future” (Showcase for future industry)

The label “Vitrine de l’industrie du future” is awarded by the AIF (Future Industry Alliance) to companies located in France which have set up an innovative project for organising their production (innovation, best practices, etc.). This national label allows winning companies to gain visibility in the territory and internationally. Currently, 35 companies bear the label, including the last four winners: Lenze, Engie, Michelin and Pellenc. Lenze is the second company in Hauts-de-France to receive it after Poclain (Oise).

The group

Lenze is a German group with nearly 3500 employees (48% outside Germany), producing annual turnover of €650m. Located in Hauts-de-France since the early 2000s (dossier supported by Nord France Invest and the Communauté d’Agglomération Béthune-Bruay), the Ruitz site specialises in the assembly and distribution of geared motors. Today the company has 150 employees. For more information on the automotive sector in Hauts-de-France Sources: Mesures.com, AIF, industrie-mag.com, Lenze
