Roquette to make second investment in Vic-sur-Aisne plant

Second investment in global pea protein strategy

On the heels of a €300 million investment to build a new pea protein facility in Manitoba, Canada, Roquette has announced that it will invest €40 million in its Vic-sur-Aisne plant, which also specializes in pea proteins. The investment will expand production capacity at the Hauts-de-France plant, inaugurated in 2015. Headquartered in Lestrem—around 35 km west of Lille—Roquette is stepping up its pea protein extraction operations significantly to keep pace with fast-growing global demand. By 2019 the Vic-sur-Aisne and Manitoba plants will have combined capacity of nearly 250,000 metric tons annually. Source: Roquette, Voix du Nord
