Lesaffre: An international campus in Hauts-de-France

Lesaffre brings its employees together

Nestled between Marquette-lez-Lille and Marcq-en-Barœul (just a stone’s throw from the future Fermentis Academy and in the same domain as the “Baking Center”), Lesaffre is creating a brand new site: the future International Campus. The premises, 23,000 m² in total, will be based on a main street over 19 hectares of land. This professional campus will host the group’s 700 employees, who are currently scattered throughout the Lille metropolis, on a single site. There are a number of benefits to centralising the group’s workforce in this way:

  • increasing efficiency
  • developing transversal collaboration between the group’s different fields and activities
  • skills pooling
  • developing the different Lesaffre business lines and global know-how, particularly among the group’s clients

Lesaffre Campus: R&D on the front line

In developing this new site, Lesaffre is putting innovation at the forefront. The group will devote 60% of the 23,000m² premises to industrial R&D. “Through this investment Lessaffre demonstrates its willingness to pursue the exploration and development of potential in fermentation, particularly in the key areas: bread-making and animal, plant and human nutrition and health” says Antoine Baule, Lesaffre’s Director General.
