A marked increase in the number of jobs being created
In parallel with the FDI* ranking published by Business France, the IBM Global Business Services report ranked Hauts-de-France as the second largest region for FDI job creation in France in 2018. With some 6,800 new jobs created, the region comes almost at the top of the rankings, just behind the Ile-de-France. The Hauts-de-France is also a head and shoulders above other regions in terms of the increase in the number of jobs created which rose by 26% compared to 2017, while the national average increased by just 8.5%. *Foreign direct investment
