at Hauts-de-France site

Nord France Invest

**Additional €5.5m investment—updated March 19, 2018**

Following the announcement of its €8.3m investment in February 2018, Heineken has officially confirmed a second investment in Hauts-de-France this year. Funds will used for a second keg packaging line, with ten new jobs created between now and the line’s projected startup in 2019.

Investment and job creation

The beer business is thriving in France, and Heineken is making the most of it. With its French sales up in 2017, the Dutch group has now announced plans to spend an additional €20 million on its French production facilities. That includes an €8.3 million upgrade at its Mons-en-Barœul brewery in Hauts-de-France, expected to create 15 new jobs.

Vital site for the group and the region

Heineken is the brewing industry’s main employer in Hauts-de-France, accounting for 289 of the region’s 800 direct jobs in the field. And its Mons-en-Barœul plant is responsible for nearly 50% of regional beer production—7.1 million hectoliters in all—with 130 different varieties, more than any other French brewery. Since 2010 Heineken has invested €51 million in the site, its largest in France. Check out key figures on the agrifood industry in Hauts-de-France Source: La Voix du Nord – 20 Minutes
