Dickson-Constant invests €40 million in Hauts-de-France

The investment decision is consistent with its strategy of relocating activites in France. The company will be able to meet growing customer demand, increasing production capacity by 50%.

“With this second industrial site, Dickson-Constant is anchoring its presence in Hauts-de-France, continuing the region’s tradition and history in textiles. We are delighted to welcome this modern, state-of-the-art industry that will create jobs for the people in our region.” Xavier Bertrand, President, Hauts-de-France Region

The 10 hectare plot of land in Hordain already has a 15,600m2 industrial building on it. Rehabilitation work will start in January 2021.

In the long term, it will stretch over 28,000 m², with the option to extend.

The HQE textile factory will complement the Wasquehal plant, with agile organisation and specialised equipment to produce textiles for both interior and exterior furnishings.

A 12,500 m² latest-generation warehouse will be built in phase two. Being very high, it will allow storage of both raw materials and the whole finished product range.

Work is scheduled to be completed in 2022.

This second site will create a hundred jobs in the Hauts-de-France region.

Hauts-de-France, the strategic choice for logistics

The new Dickson-constant site is ideally located:

  • In the heart of Northern Europe and with its dense transport network, enabling delivery to customers within 48 hours customers throughout Europe
  • 45 minutes from Dickson’s first plant at Wasquehal

A setup supported by Nord France Invest and its partners

Dickson-Constant’s second investment was supported by the Hauts-de-France Region and assisted by Nord France Invest, the Porte du Hainaut Agglomeration, Hordain commune and the French government.

Nord France Invest helped the company find a site to meet the project’s technical needs.
