A regional agricultural innovation service for professionals

AgriLab, the first ecosystem to combine agricultural technology and computing, is open to students, scientists, farmers, start-ups and companies wanting to test an idea or a concept. It aims to facilitate:

  • meetings and exchanges
  • access and training of agricultural actors in new technologies

The aim of this organisation is to strengthen and speed up innovation in agriculture and to contribute to the regional momentum. AgriLab is counting on sharing knowledge and discoveries with a view to contributing to the global development of more sustainable and responsible agriculture.

To this end, the centre is offering companies low cost access to its services (OpenLab) provided any innovation is shared. However, organisations wishing to pursue confidential studies can privatise one or more spaces (PrivateLab).

Scope of action

  • Animal and crop production
  • New products (food or not)
  • Short transformation processes
  • Energy control and production

Three themed areas serving future agriculture

This all-new 3200 m² site is actually a FabLab applied to agriculture sector themes. It has three separate areas:

  • "Fab" area (1,700m²): collaborative work space, equipped with machine-tools and dedicated to co-working and prototyping
  • "Ana" area (800m²): devoted to analysis and research in agriculture
  • "Tech" area (600m²): space dedicated to first transformation process technologies

The regional "Innovation, Agritech and Agricultural computing" centre

The first ecosystem specialised in agricultural technology and computing, the Beauvais regional "Innovation, Agritech and Agricultural computing" centre opened thanks to local cooperation from: AGCO, GIMA, ISAGRI, CETIM, UniLaSalle, Beauvais Agglomeration, Oise Departmental Council and the Hauts-de-France region.

The creation of AgriLab demonstrates the regional centre’s aim to welcome and encourage the development of start-ups, sector companies and industry.
