Roquette : a global leader in Hauts-de-France
Roquette, a global leader in plant-based ingredients, has announced the opening of a new centre of expertise on its site at Vic-Sur-Aisne (between Compiègne and Soissons).
The 2,000m2 centre will be fully dedicated to plant protein research and development, testing new ingredients.
With its presence in over 100 countries and this €11 million investment, Roquette intends to introduce new sources of protein every five years to meet the needs of ever more demanding consumers seeking new trends to test.
“With this R&D accelerator in Vic-sur-Aisne, the only production site with this level of experience, we will bring plant-based innovation to a new level” according to Jeremy Burks, Senior Vice President of Plant Proteins at Roquette.
Hauts-de-France, a strategic choice for business
Three key assets convinced Roquette to open the centre in the Hauts-de-France region:
- A strategic location at its production site in Vic-sur-Aisne (between Compiègne and Soissons)
- A location in France’s 3rd largest agrifood region offering easy access to high quality raw materials; and
- An abundant and qualified labour pool
