Extensee moves its head office to Lille

The French operator of multi-sector specialist surveillance drones Extensee has chosen the Hauts-de-France Region as the new location for its head office, where it will pursue its ambition to become the leading private European drone operator.

Created in 2023, Extensee is a French company specialized in drone solutions for civilian, industrial, and government operations.

Its expertise includes the air, maritime, and sub-marine sectors, with strategic applications in the protection of sensitive sites, maritime surveillance, crisis management, and environmental control.

Initially based in Paris, the company recently secured over €1 million in funds from two Hauts-de-France Region funds (IRD Invest and FINORPA) to accelerate its growth and consolidate its leadership in Europe.

Extensee has chosen to relocate its head office from Paris to Lille to achieve its ambition for growth.

a strategic and well-thought-out choice

After a location analysis that pitted the capital of the Hauts-de-France Region against Bordeaux and Toulouse, Extensee decided to move to the European metropolis of Lille.

By choosing the Hauts-de-France Region, Extensee benefits from a technological and industrial fabric that is particularly advantageous for growth, offering:

an active tech and defense ecosystem,
an innovation-focused region,
a pool of potential institutional and industrial partners,
a central location in Europe

From the Hauts-de-France Region, the start-up aims to become the benchmark operator in Europe for multi-sector drones and plans to develop training and test centers in the area.

Lille stood out for its dynamism, ease of access and particularly favorable ecosystem for drones.
