TDF’s 2nd ProxiCenter to be located in Lambersart

TDF Group (formerly TéléDiffusion de France) is a European leader and partner for digital technology experts in all areas—radio broadcasts, real-time news and very high-speed telecom networks.

After launching its first data center at Bouliac near Bordeaux last May under the ProxiCenter name, TDF opened a second unit in Lille-Lambersart on March 13. TDF revamped its existing broadcast site to incorporate the new 120-bay data hosting facility. Located in a flood- and earthquake-free zone, this new ProxiCenter offers massive power resources (520 kVA IT), secure infrastructure and top-tier service quality. TDF makes energy efficiency and innovative equipment an integral part of the ProxiCenters it designs and operates, with free cooling and more.

Strong demand in Lille

TDF’s investment lets it meet the needs of local digital players, with Lille a fast-growing focus of cloud technology-based business. Services on offer target clients from SMEs to institutional entities. The new Lambersart site should be able to host nearly 5,000 servers.

ProxiCenter network

To guarantee links to external IT facilities, TDF’s ProxiCenters use a network of secure and ultra-high-speed connected sites, in addition to connectivity solutions offered by traditional telecom operators. TDF Group has a total of 9,000 sites and 12,900 telecom points of service.
