Promoting Northern France in international business circles is part of our mission at Nord France Invest. At Expo Milano 2016, we raised the region’s profile through a joint Northern France/Lombardy agrifood seminar.

Nord France Invest

On June 19, Nord France Invest held a seminar on agrifood opportunities in Northern France and Lombardy—two regions known for their excellence in the sector—at the Universal Exposition in Milan. Designed to tie in with Expo Milano’s theme, “Feeding the Planet,” the event was one of many activities for the regional delegation headed by Pierre de Saintignon, First Vice-Chairman of the Nord-Pas de Calais Regional Council.

The event was supported by our region’s Aquimer and Agroé clusters and by our Italian partners, the Lombardia Promos development agency and Cariparma bank. Over 80 leading players from France and Italy attended bilateral presentations highlighting key figures and major trends in the agrifood sector in Northern France and Lombardy.

The seminar closed with a networking buffet, giving participants an opportunity to trade insights on development opportunities and market prospects.
