    Preparations for 2nd annual Open Innovation B2B event now underway

    BioFIT - Open Innovation B2B event - biotech - pharmaceutical - health - Lille Region

    Over 600 leading innovators in biotechnology and life sciences will meet in Lille on December 3‑4 to form successful public-private partnerships under the “Open Innovation” model, a collaborative research platform with a growing track record of success.

    BioFIT organizers plan to make it the top Open Innovation event. The program includes:

    • a B2B and technology transfer forum
    • a full slate of presentations
    • an exhibit area for sponsors and clusters
    • a presentation on licensing opportunities

    The event offers a unique forum where key European players in public and private research can meet to form partnerships and promote technology transfer. BioFIT is a meeting place for the entire biotech and pharmaceutical sector, focusing on new businesses and public research institutes in particular.

    BioFIT is the world’s only event designed to encourage technology transfer partnerships and collaborative projects in the life sciences.

    Academics, manufacturers and entrepreneurs will be able to exchange know-how and best practices with experts on technology transfer, intellectual property and licensing—and BioFIT’s state-of-the-art partnership platform will enable them to make the most of their contacts.

     At the first BioFIT event:

    • Over 350 people attended—37% from academia, 34% from biotech companies, and 15% from the pharmaceutical industry
    • 50% of the attendees came from outside France
    • the B2B forum hosted 1,300 meetings

    BioFIT is organized jointly by:

    • Eurasanté, a GIE joint venture for economic development in biology, health and nutrition in northern France;
    • IDIS, a consulting and services firm specializing in support for regional innovation;
    • EBD Group, the leading partnering firm for the global life sciences industry; and
    • Nutrition Health Longevity a French competitiveness cluster.
