Lille Region university ranks among world’s top 500

The prestigious Shanghai rankings of the world’s top 500 universities are a major global benchmark for academia, compiled by researchers at Jiaotong University and published since 2003. Lille 1 University is now among the 20 French universities on the list, ranking 151st among the top 200 for mathematics. The University offers a wide selection of courses rated A+ by the French Agency for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (AERES)—a key factor in winning a place in the Shanghai rankings. The honor reflects Lille 1’s academic excellence and underscores its position as a leading scientific cluster.
