Rio Tinto Alcan group invests 32 million Euros in the Aluminium Dunkerque site.

On the 11th of June 2013 Aluminium Dunkerque inaugurated its new electrolytic cell in the presence of its employees and local and national media. This is an important event for an aluminium factory. The service life of an electrolytic cell is around 20 years. This 32 million Euros investment is an opportunity to improve on current technology and is of course an advantage for the future of the factory. The new electrolytic cell will reduce gas emissions and consumption. This investment shows the confidence that the Rio Tinto Alcan group has in the Aluminium Dunkerque site and bodes well for its future and that of its employees who will be able to continue to supply high quality products to their customers.
