Hospihome —the latest in the Concept Room series

18 May 2016 | Front page, Health Nutrition, A region on the move

Driven by Lille’s University Center Hospital (CHRU) and some 50 health-oriented companies in the Clubster Santé network, the Concept Room initiative has just unveiled Hospihome, its latest project. This connected “care pathway,” developed by and for home healthcare specialists and hospitals, takes a living-lab approach to delivering in-home care.

    Breakthroughs in home healthcare

Lille’s CHRU and Clubster Santé, a health industry network in Northern France, are set to unveil their Concept Room Opus 4 at the Paris Healthcare Week Trade Fairs, May 24-26. The Hospihome Concept takes a fresh approach to keeping infirm patients at home, drawing on regional expertise to offer a range of innovative options:

    • New equipment packs adapted to home care (“connected pharmacy” service, sensors to measure pain and muscle strength, connected cane with remote alarm, and more)
    • A pioneering system for collecting, processing and relaying data (including connected scales, interactive TV with a homecare appointments and scheduling feature, data entry and tracking, and remote medical consultations)
    • Improved coordination among caregivers
    • More active involvement of patients in tracking their own health

    Concept Room achievements to date

    • Concept Room Opus 1, 2012—the hospital room of tomorrow
Prototype of a smart, attractive hospital room of the future; a space that puts patients at the center of the process, while facilitating caregivers’ work
    • Concept Room Opus 2, 2013—optimized outpatient service
Forward-looking, designed to encourage patient autonomy; lays the foundations for a new approach to outpatient services
    • Silver Concept Opus 3, 2014/2015—tomorrow’s residential care for seniors with decreasing independence
Assisted living that is dedicated to life, not end-of-life, improving the well-being of residents, caregivers and relatives.
