Children’s apparel specialist Orchestra to build new hub in Arras

13 Apr 2015 | Investment, ICT, Mobility

Unique accessibility and a dense yet flexible transportation infrastructure make Northern France a top choice for logistics operations. After welcoming e-commerce powerhouses Amazon and 3SI, Lille Region is now set to host Orchestra’s new platform.

A major investment

Global retailer Orchestra specializes in baby and children’s clothing and accessories. It has now earmarked €50 million for a new logistics hub in Arras—its second in France—that will create up to 700 jobs by 2020.

Combining logistics and e-commerce

For Orchestra, a key plus of the Actiparc business park in Greater Arras is immediate access to the nearby A1 and A26 expressways. The future hub will house warehousing and distribution operations for apparel and baby gear as well as an e-commerce base, offering a vast 120,000 sq m of floor area in all. Construction of the first phase—50,000 sq m scheduled for delivery in mid-2016—will get under way in summer 2015.
