Biobased economy stakeholders ready for Plant Based Summit in Lille

31 Mar 2015 | Advanced Materials, A region on the move

The third Plant Based Summit will take place at Lille’s Grand Palais April 8-10. Over 75 exhibitors and 100 key players in the biobased economy will attend this major European trade show, where industry decision-makers can trade insights and information on deploying plant-based products.

A unique event for Europe’s biobased economy

Plant Based Summit is the only event in Europe dedicated exclusively to plant-based chemicals, bringing food producers, chemists and manufacturers of applications together to address their specific concerns—from processes and new materials to innovative solutions and more.

Plant-based chemicals are a critical part of the biobased economy and a source of innovative new solutions built on biomass technologies. A key component of the chemicals industry worldwide, they are used in construction, cosmetics, packaging, transport, energy and much more.

For ACV (Association Chimie du Végétal) and Infopro Digital, the organizers of this year’s event, Lille was a natural choice thanks to its strategic location in the heart of Northern France. The region is among the nation’s frontrunners in biomass applications, with a business community that includes Matikem, a dedicated biomass cluster; IFMAS, a world-class lab specializing in plant-based materials; and a long tradition of large-scale farming.
