    Appco—a growing force in direct marketing

    Appco is a world leader in direct sales and marketing, present in 25 countries on five continents. The company designs sales strategies for its clients, develops marketing tools and, through its network of independent businesses, offers them a professional sales force. Founded in Sydney over 20 years ago, Appco Group is now part of Cobra Group, a British holding company.

    Lille—an excellent location

    Appco’s new French subsidiary is in Lille, where it expects to create 10 new jobs as the company expands in Europe. Determining factors in its choice of site were the outstanding transport infrastructure found in Northern France and proximity to the group’s existing office in Belgium. Other sites considered were Germany and Marseilles. Assistance from regional development agency Nord France Invest and its local partner Lille’s Agency also played a key role in bringing this new business to Northern France.
